Lynn University Holds Off Men’s Soccer, 1-0

BOCA RATON, Fla.
- The Eckerd College men's soccer team fell to Lynn University, 1-0, on Tuesday afternoon, marking just the squad's second conference loss of the season.

"We faced a very strong Lynn squad tonight," EC Head Coach Steve Magee said. "I felt like our team worked very hard but we had trouble breaking down their defense."

The Fighting Knights (8-4, 4-2 SSC) took the early lead in the sixth minute of the game, as Harald Gracholski scored his sixth goal of the season off a corner kick.

The Tritons (8-4-1, 2-2-1 SSC) managed a season-low three total shots, with junior Matt Knight and senior Thomas Serta putting their attempts on target.

Eckerd goalkeeper Toni Virtanen had seven saves on the day.

The Tritons will next play host to the University of Tampa for Senior Night on Monday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m.

Seniors Anthony Arico, Ben Donovan, Sawyer Frank, Jimmy Lawler, Alex Patterson, Thomas Serta and Drew Smith, will all be honored for their commitment to the program.
