ORLANDO, Fla. – Tristan Bassette of the Eckerd men's soccer team has been named to the All-Sunshine State Conference Third Team, as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon.
Bassette, a sophomore forward from Riverview, Florida, enjoyed a breakout season for the Tritons, tying for the team lead with eight goals and 17 points while adding one assist. He appeared in all 17 games, making four starts, and recorded a .400 shooting percentage, converting eight of his 20 attempts. He placed 14 shots on goal for a .700 shots-on-goal percentage.
In conference play, Bassette led Eckerd with four goals and eight points across 10 appearances.
Bassette's standout performances earned him SSC Offensive Player of the Week honors on October 6 after scoring three goals across two victories. He opened the week with a pair of goals in Eckerd's 4-2 win over Webber International before scoring the opening goal just six minutes into the Tritons' 2-1 victory over Lynn, helping Eckerd secure its first win over the Fighting Knights since 2008.
Bassette finished the season with one game-winning goal and ranked among Eckerd's offensive leaders in goals, points, shots, and shots on goal.
The honor marks the first All-Conference selection for the Tritons since 2022.
