SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Eckerd College men's basketball team shot 56 percent from the field during an 82-58 win at Saint Leo on Wednesday.
John Harper and Dale Carn each scored 16 points for the Tritons (13-4, 4-3 Sunshine State Conference), who had five scorers in double figures. Chris Gray scored 12 points, while Wayne Sears Jr. had 12 points, six assists and six steals. Quincy Okolie tallied 10 points on 5-for-7 shooting.
Eckerd shot 63 percent in the second half to pull away.
Jeremy Jackson had 10 points to lead Saint Leo (9-7, 1-6), which was held to 35 percent shooting.
Eckerd, which led 33-26 at halftime, never led by less than 10 points after the 16:48 mark of the second half.
The Tritons will host Florida Tech at 7 p.m. on Monday at the McArthur Center. The game will be televised live on Bright House Sports Network.
