ST. PETERSBURG, Fla - The Eckerd men's tennis team dropped their first match of the Sunshine State Conference to nationally ranked Barry, 9-0, at the Turley Athletic Complex Sunday, February 28th.
Barry (7-0, 5-0 SSC), who is currently ranked second in the nation, swept both doubles and singles matches from the Tritons.
Hisa Sato split sets with opponent Max Wimmer, but Wimmer was able to defeat Sato in the tie-breaker, 10-2.
Erik Thunberg went into three sets with his opponent.
The Tritons (0-4, 0-1 SSC) will be back in action Tuesday, March 2nd, as they host Stetson University. Match is set to start at 4:00 pm.
