AMERICUS, Ga. - For the second match in a row,
Luke Sheekey scored the game-winning goal, this time on a penalty kick in the 16th minute, to lead the Eckerd Tritons (2-1) past the Georgia Southwestern Hurricane (0-4) on Sunday afternoon at Hurricane Field.
After Sheekey's goal, the Eckerd defense took over, limiting the Hurricane to just three shots on goal.
Domenic Spedaliere stopped all three shots on frame while David Porely made seven saves for GSW.
Eckerd will return to the pitch on Sunday, September 13 as it hosts Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) at 1pm at the Turley Athletic Complex.
