VALDOSTA, Fla. - #
Luca Bell# carded a first round 70, good for two under par, to pace the Eckerd Triton men's golf squad as they participated in Valdosta State's First Federal Southeastern Collegiate at the 7,127-yard Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.
Despite Bell's individual effort, the Tritons finished 17th out of a 17-team field that included 11 teams ranked in the Top 25 nationally and 10 Top 20 squads. Bell finished the three-round event with 222 strokes, good for 47th place out of 90 individuals.
#Matt Baker and Binnari Kim# carded 229 and 239, respectively, while
Thomas Mathiassen and #
Chris Metcalf# rounded out the Eckerd quintet.
Eckerd will return to the links on April 5 through 7 as it travels to Miami Shores, Fla. to compete in the Barry Buccaneer Invitational at Normandy Shores Golf Club.
