DAVIE, Fla. - The Eckerd men's golf team finished 16th at the Shark Shootout at the Grand Oaks Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday.
Eckerd opened play with its lowest round, a 302, on Monday before rain delayed round two until Tuesday. On Tuesday, the Tritons followed with rounds of 308 and 307 for a three-round total of 917.
Shane Darby (75-78-76) T64th
- Darby led the squad in par-4 scoring with a 4.15 average.
- Darby led the team with six pars.
Nicholas Zizzo (74-77-79) T66th
- Zizzo led the team in par-3s with a 3.08 average.
- Zizzo also led EC in par-5 scoring with a 5.00 average.
- He led the team with 33 pars.
Josh DiZinno (79-78-77) T71st
- DiZinno added 31 pars and four birdies.
Andrew DeMuth (77-75-81) T75th
- DeMuth carded 32 pars and three birdies.
Tyler Van Dusen (82-84-77) 89th
- Van Dusen added 22 pars and four birdies.
NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Florida Southern won the event with a 3-over 855.
- Enzo Barbaglia of Saint Leo won the individual title with a 7-under 206.
- Demuth's second-round 75 was a season-low.
- Van Dusen's final round 77 was a career-low.
