Biography

2012 (Junior): Second Team All-SSC…SSC Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 29)…Emerged as one of the best liberos in the Sunshine State Conference as a key back row defender…Served as team captain with Lindsay Biggs…Played in all 31 matches throughout the season...Led the team with 413 digs and averaged 3.44 digs per set…Contributed 61 assists and 22 service aces…Owned the team’s best serve receive percentage at .975 in 120 sets played…Had a career-high 27 digs in two matches during the season against Florida Tech (Oct. 26) and Florida Southern College (Nov. 29)…Saved best for last against the Mocs in the NCAA Championship South Regional in the late November matchup, handling all possible 38 serve receive opportunities…Pushed a season-high three service aces across the net against Florida Southern (Sept. 29) in an earlier SSC battle…Recorded 20 or more digs in eight different contests during the year…Ranked eighth in the conference in digs per set.

2011 (Sophomore): Appeared in 30 matches during the season and recorded 113 digs...Averaged 1.40 digs per set...Recorded double-digit dig totals in matches against Colorado Christian University (14), the University of North Alabama (12) and Nova Southeastern University (10)...Served up a total of 10 service aces, including two in EC's NCAA Tournament opening-round win against Christian Brothers University...Tallied a season-high three kills against the University of Tampa.

2010 (Freshman): Freshman appeared in 27 matches, starting 17, and averaged nearly two digs per set...Had season-high 11 digs in SSC match against Barry on Oct. 23...Had 10 digs in four different matches and nearly had double-double on Oct. 16 at Valdosta State (nine kills, 10 digs)...Was named to SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll following the fall semester.

Prior to Eckerd
: Was named Monarch High's Female Athlete of the Year in 2010...Helped volleyball squad to its best record in school history, going undefeated (11-0) and winning the Front Range League...Team did not lose a set in league play...Was the Front Range Player of the Year and was awarded the Boulder Daily Camera Volleyball Player of the Year as a senior...Had 285 kills and 241 digs during final season...Was a first-team All-Region pick and a second-team All-State honoree...Was also a three-time All-Conference pick and a two-time Academic All-State selection...Was also a standout track performer, placing in the state track meet in the long jump and sprint relays...Was MVP of both the volleyball and track team...Played in Colorado's All-State Volleyball match in November 2009...Was awarded the Wendy's High School Heisman scholarship.

Personal: Born on Jan. 28, 1992...Daughter of Matt and Kathy Humphrey...Has a younger sister, Reilly, and two step-siblings (Jess and Ross)...Parents were both collegiate athletes...Father played football at Bowling Green State, and mother ran track...Wants to pursue career in television broadcasting...Chose Eckerd because of the coaches, the proximity to the beaches, the academics and the desire to win a national championship.
