Jeremy Thornburg

Thornburg assumed a new role of assistant coach for the Eckerd College volleyball program in April of 2013.

Thornburg, a native of Mishawaka, Ind., joined the Tritons from his most recent position at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. At Eckerd, he will primarily be working with the setters and also assigned as the back row defensive specialists coach.

Additionally, Thornburg assists EC Head Coach Michelle Piantadosi in all facets of operations with the volleyball program and helps with event management for Tritons' home athletic events.

Prior to his one-year appointment at the Division I level with the Red Wolves Arkansas State, he served on staff with the men's volleyball program at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne since 2005.

Under his tutelage, ASU libero Megan Baska received Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference accolades Iast fall while the Red Wolves earned their first postseason win since 2000 in the conference tournament.

The Wolves constructed a 19-win campaign in 2012 and during his seven-year stint at IPFW, the Mastodons finished with over 100 wins with an NCAA Tournament runner-up finish in 2007.

Thornburg graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne with his degree in general studies with minors in communication studies and psychology. He currently resides in St. Petersburg.
