Jason Montgomery

Jason Montgomery enters his second season with the Triton women's soccer program serving as an assistant coach and goalkeeping coach

Montgomery joined Eckerd after a year at Capital (Ohio) University where he was the team's assistant coach and goalkeeping coach.  In 2014, he helped lead the Crusaders to the OAC conference title and a second-round appearance in the NCAA Division III National Tournament.  He worked in the same capacity there from 2008-2009.

Montgomery has also enjoyed success as a head coach at the high school level in central Ohio.  As the girls coach at Johnstown-Monroe, he led the team to the second sectional title in school history.  He had similar success as Bishop Ready as both the boys and girls coach, guiding the girls team to new heights with two sectional titles and the program's first-ever top-10 state ranking.  His leadership earned him runner-up honors in district coach of the year voting in his first season at Bishop Ready.

In addition to his scholastic coaching, Montgomery has several years of experience at the competitive club level.  He currently coaches with Tampa Bay United and has previously coached with the Freedom Soccer Club, Pickerington Area Soccer Association and Major League Soccer's Columbus Crew club team.  He also spent four years as the Crew's head camp instructor and worked in the sales and marketing department.

Montgomery's coaching career began as a student assistant with NCAA Division I University of Evansville (Ind.), where he has responsible for several aspects of team management.

Jason has been married to his wife, Jaimee, for seven years.  They currently reside in St. Petersburg.
