Chakiris Moss joined Bryan Galuski's staff as the assistant men's basketball coach in July 2020. He enters his sixth year on the sidelines entering the 2025-26 season. 

He helped EC continue to build in the 2022-23 season, sweeping the SSC series from Lynn, including a 20-plus point comeback on the road. Eckerd also picked up a convincing win over Saint Leo at home, who finished second in the SSC. 

Eckerd continued to elevate in the 2023-24 season, making the programs first appearance in the SSC Tournament since 2019. The Tritons 13 wins and eight SSC victories are both the most in a season in five years. 
 
Moss served on Eckerd's Athletic Diversity Action Committee.

Moss, a native of Savannah, Georgia, brings a strong coaching resume after spending the last two seasons at Virginia Tech as a graduate assistant coach. In his first season with the Hokies, Moss was a part of one of the best seasons in program history as Virginia Tech made it to the Sweet 16 and finished fifth in the ACC standings in 2018-19.

Prior to his two seasons with Virginia Tech, Moss served as the head assistant coach at Louisburg College (NJCAA) in North Carolina. During his time at Louisburg, Moss helped lead the team to a 29-6 (18-2) record, including winning the Region X Regular Season and Conference Tournament Championship. The team received the No. 3 seed in the National Tournament and finished the season ranked within the top-5 in the NJCAA Poll. 

Moss coached alongside Galuski as an assistant Coach at Greensboro (N. C.) College from 2013-2017. While working at his alma mater, Moss was responsible for recruiting, coordinating strength and conditioning workouts, player development, scouting opponents, and basketball operations duties.

Moss was a four-year starter as a Point Guard at Greensboro. He received numerous honors, including USA South Rookie of the Year in 2009-10, three-time USA South Defensive Player of the Year from 2010-13, All-Conference, and he ranks third in wins, second in assists and second in total minutes in program history. 

Moss also played three semi-pro seasons with the Greensboro Cobras from 2013-2016.

He graduated from Greensboro College in 2013 with a Bachelors Degree in English and Communication.
