2009 (Sophomore): Played in 31 matches and led Tritons with 428 digs...Had career-best 31 digs in five-set win at Palm Beach Atlantic on Oct. 30...Tallied 20 or more digs eight times...Averaged 21 digs in final three matches of regular season...Also added 12 service aces...Was named to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll in the fall.

2008 (Freshman): Played in 62 sets and 26 matches while seeing some time at Eckerd's libero spot...Tallied 77 digs...Notched a career-high 10 digs against Clarion (9/12/08).

Prior to Eckerd: Ward attended Stephen F. Austin High School where she lettered in volleyball and track... earned numerous awards for her defensive play... named 2007 all-district defensive player of the year... first team all-district selection... 2007 Hays Rebel Bash All-Tournament MVP... All-Central Texas third team... academic all-district 2006 and 2007... Ward was voted Most Valuable Player by her teammates and coaches during her senior campaign.

Personal: Born on Dec. 14...Daughter of David and Katherine Ward...favorite athlete is LeBron James... Favorite team is the Cleveland Cavaliers... Enjoys volleyball, longboarding, lake activities, going to concerts, outdoor activities, surfing and skimboarding in her free time... Chose Eckerd because of the atmosphere and the size of the school.
