MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Eckerd spring athletic programs placed 131 student-athletes on the 2026 SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll, released by the conference office on Wednesday, June 23.
A record 2,276 student-athletes were named to the 2026 Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll from the 11 schools. The number of 2026 honorees breaks the previous record of 2,264 student-athletes named on last year's Spring Honor Roll.
The Tritons' 131 honorees are a department record for spring term, breaking the mark of 99 set back in 2020.
To be eligible for the Fall SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must post a minimum grade-point average of 3.20 on a scale of 4.00. Participants in the sports of men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming, women's beach volleyball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's outdoor track, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's lacrosse, women's rowing, baseball, and softball are eligible for the spring honor roll.
This spring, EC produced a 3.47 department GPA, and received the Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence for the 15th year in a row with an Academic Success Rate of 90 percent.
