Eckerd names Trevor Jossart as Assistant Athletic Director for Communications

ST. PETERSBURG – Eckerd College is proud to announce the appointment of Trevor Jossart as its new Assistant Athletic Director for Communucations. Jossart joins Eckerd after making a significant impact at Augustana College, where he most recently served in the same role.

"We are excited to welcome Trevor to the Triton family," said Director of Athletics Tom Ryan '87. "His experience, creativity, and proven success in building engagement and showcasing student-athletes will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow our programs and strengthen our brand."

Since arriving at Augustana in 2021 as Director of Athletic Communications, Jossart quickly distinguished himself as a leader dedicated to enhancing both the student-athlete and fan experience. His responsibilities spanned all facets of athletic communications, including media relations, website management, social media strategy, live event coverage, and supervising event staff. His leadership elevated the visibility and reputation of Augustana Athletics across multiple platforms.

Over the past four years, Jossart provided coverage for more than 50 All-Americans, multiple nationally ranked programs, two individual national champions, and hundreds of All-CCIW student-athletes. Augustana produced 10 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-Americans during his tenure—five of which came in 2023–24 alone. He successfully led the department in hosting multiple major events, including three USA Water Polo National Tournaments and several CCIW conference championships.

Jossart was an active voice within the industry, currently serving as a member of the CSC Academic All-American Committee and served as a voter in the D3baseball.com poll. In both 2022 and 2023, he was named the Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Sports Information Director of the Year.

At Eckerd, Jossart will continue to lead athletic communications efforts while taking on broader administrative responsibilities within the athletics department. His addition brings both proven experience and a student-first philosophy that aligns with Eckerd's mission of academic and athletic excellence.
