Trevor Jossart joined Eckerd as the assistant athletic director for communications in August 2025 after previously serving in the same role at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill.
While at Augie, he oversaw comprehensive communications strategies for the College’s 28 varsity sports, including media relations, live streaming, website management, social media, statistical and historical record-keeping, and graphic design. Under his leadership, the department has experienced notable growth in digital engagement, including surpassing 100,000 home broadcast views during each of the 2023–24 and 2024-25 academic years.
Since 2021–22, Jossart provided coverage for the Vikings for more than 50 All-Americans, multiple nationally ranked programs, two individual national champions, and hundreds of All-CCIW student-athletes. Augustana produced 10 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-Americans during his tenure—five of which came in 2023–24 alone. He successfully led the department in hosting multiple major events, including three USA Water Polo National Tournaments and several CCIW conference championships.
Jossart is an active voice within the industry, currently serving as a member of the CSC Academic All-American Committee and was a voter in the D3baseball.com poll. In both 2022 and 2023, he was as the Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Sports Information Director of the Year.
A native of Wisconsin, Jossart earned his undergraduate degree in Sport & Recreation Management from Marian University. He began his professional journey in Madison, Wisconsin, working in sports radio sales and freelance writing before completing a Master's degree in Marketing form Liberty University with an emphasis in Sports Media.
In 2018, Jossart became Sports Information Director at Southwestern College in Kansas. There, he revitalized the athletic department’s digital presence, growing its social media following by 50 percent over three years while maintaining conference-best engagement metrics. He also served as General Manager for the All-NAIA TBT team, The Advantage.
Outside of college athletics, Jossart has contributed to national outlets such as Bleacher Report, FOX Sports, and DraftKings, and has interviewed numerous high-profile sports figures. He lives in Davenport, Iowa, and enjoys working out, gaming, and cheering on his favorite Wisconsin sports teams.
