MELBOURNE, Fla. - After earning a selection to the NCAA Tournament,
Reggie Fear has been named to the Sunshine State Conference Men's Golf Team, as announced by the conference on Thursday, May 1.
Fear, from Surrey, England, was selected to the second team and is the first Triton since 2013 to receive all-conference honors.
Fear ranks 116th nationally and 27th in the region. He has a 72.5 adjusted scoring average with two top-three finishes. He won his collegiate debut at the Griffin Invitational on September 16-17 with an 8-under 208. He added a runner-up finish at the SSC Championship on April 13-15, marking the best placing by a Triton since 2013.
He was tabbed the SSC Golfer of the Week in September.
He led Eckerd to a final round 286 in the SSC Championship, the lowest single round at the SSC Championship in program history for the Tritons.
Golfer of the Year went to Colton Swartz of Florida Southern and the Mocs' head coach Brian Richey was tabbed the Coach of the Year. Bruno Marques of Nova Southeastern was named the Freshman of the Year.
