FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team fell to top-ranked Nova Southeastern, 7-0 on the road Sunday morning.
The Tritons (8-9) fell to No. 1 Nova Southeastern (16-1) as the Sharks swept the doubles point and all six singles positions.
No. 31 Olivia Lindestaf was in a tightly contested first set with No. 7 Lyistyna Hranacova, but ultimately dropping the set 6-4, and falling in the match with a second set shutout.
Maya Soligo bounced back from a first set shutout to battle in the No. 5 spot, narrowly falling 7-5 in set two.
Eckerd travels to Tampa on Tuesday, to face off against the Spartans at 3:00 PM.
