ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - After falling behind 3-0 in the fourth, the Eckerd softball team rallied late with four runs over the final three innings to down No. 25 Rollins, 4-3, at the Turley Athletic Complex on Thursday night.
With a strikeout in the opening frame, Brandilyn Reymer set the single-season strikeout record.
The Tars got on the board in the second frame, scoring on a pair of errors. They made it a 3-0 lead in the fourth, taking advantage of another Triton miscue. However, Eckerd responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame as Hannah Taylor led off the inning with a double and scored on Ella Coiner's two-run homerun.
Coiner evened the score in the next frame on an RBI single before Mia Hernandez delivered the winning run in the sixth with an RBI single down the left-field line.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Reymer earned the win, scattering three hits and allowing three runs (all unearned) with 11 strikeouts. It was her seventh game of the season with double-digit strikeouts.
- Reymer set the single-season strikeout record in the first inning, surpassing Kristina Lemons' record of 150 from 2004.
- Hernandez led Eckerd going 3-for-3 with an RBI.
- Coiner added three RBIs. She hit her third homerun of the season.
