ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd baseball team fell to Shippensburg (Pa.), 21-3 on Saturday afternoon at the Turley Athletic Complex.
The Tritons opened strong with two runs in the first inning but managed just two hits in the game. Reid Lisle recorded both of Eckerd's hits, while Dylan Escobar drove in the team's lone earned run. SU took the lead for good with a four-run second frame. Shippensburg capitalized on the Tritons mistakes for a pair of six-run innings in both the fourth and fifth, sealing the game early, taking the game 21-3.
