ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team fell to Division I opponent Loyola (Md.) at the Bullard Courts 5-2 on Thursday.
The Tritons (3-4) fell to Loyola (Md.) (6-0) after falling in the doubles point and four of six singles matches.
The Greyhounds swept the Tritons in the top doubles pairing, but Eckerd's two's and three's both put up a good fight, falling 6-4.
Olivia Lindestaf picked up her sixth win in the top singles spot in two sets, taking set one in tiebreak 7-6 (7-1) and set two 6-4.
Kylie Misdorp made quick work of her opponent in the No. 2 spot, securing the point in two sets, 6-1, 6-2.
The Tritons remain at home Saturday, facing off against Edinboro University of Pennsylvania at 11:00 AM.
