Tritons Swept by No. 13 Bobcats

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Eckerd baseball team was swept by the No. 13 Georgia College, falling in game one of the doubleheader 12-4 and in game two 11-4 on the road Saturday. 

The Bobcats took game one 12-4 on Saturday. Georgia College broke open a close game with a five-run seventh inning, while adding three more in the eighth to secure the win. Eckerd managed seven hits in the game, with Luis Garrido and Christian Cabina each contributing an RBI. Nathan Norwood took the loss, surrendering four runs in five innings.

The Bobcats took game two of the day 11-4 to complete the sweep over Eckerd. Georgia took control early with a five-run first inning and sealed the victory with a five-run seventh. Eckerd's offense was led by Christian Perez and Dawson Jones, who each homered.
