ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd softball team posted 25 hits, including 10 extra-base hits on the day, taking a pair of games over Western (Can.), 10-0 and 9-2, at the Turley Atheltic Complex on Tuesday afternoon.
Eckerd erupted for six runs in the opening of game one, as Ella Coiner delivered a squeeze bunt, followed by a two-run double by Abby Lucas and a bases-clearing double from Gracie Ciccarello.
The Tritons tacked on another three runs in the next inning with RBIs from Ellie Baldwin, Kinsley Castro, and Ashley Cain. EC added its final run in the fourth as Molly Scott delivered an RBI double. Brandily Reymer tossed a gem in the circle, keeping the Mustangs hitless until the fourth inning as Kylie Curran inched out the only hit of the game while Reymer stuck out nine.
Eckerd continued its hot bats in the second game with seven runs over the first two innings. Coiner, Baldwin, and Addisan Langston added RBIs in the first frame, while Baldwin and Lucas added RBIs, and Hannah Taylor hit a two-run homer in the second.
Western added a run in the second and fourth, but it wasn't enough. The Tritons added another run in the fifth and sixth to seal the game.

- Ella Coiner reached the 50 career stolen bases milestone with a pair of stolen bases in the opener. She posted three stolen bases on the day. She ranks tied for third in Triton history.
- Lex Difato swiped four total bases over both games. She has 15 on the season.
- Brandilyn Reymer earned her third win of the season, allowing just one hit with a career-high nine strikeouts.
- Reese Founds allowed just two runs over seven innings, fanning a career-high 11 batters.
- Lucas, Castro, and Cain added two hits each in the opener. Ciccarello posted three RBIs, while Lucas had two.
- Taylor, Coiner, Baldwin, Lucas, and Langston each had two hits in the finale. Taylor, Baldwin, and Lucas added two RBIs each.
