ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team was swept by Lynn, 4-0 to open conference play at the Bullard Courts on Sunday afternoon.
The Tritons (1-1) fell to the No. 3 Knights (3-1) after dropping the doubles point and three singles matches. The match was delayed due to weather, however since Lynn had clinched the victory the remaining three singles matches remained unfinished.
Maialen Idiakez and Laura Ullrich put up a good fight in the No. 3 doubles, but ultimately fell 7-5.
Kylie Misdorp won eight games in the No. 2 singles, but fell to Galmiche 6-4 in straight sets.
The Tritons host Bates on Friday at the Bullard Courts at 2:00 PM.
