DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Eckerd softball team dropped its doubleheader at Embry-Riddle on Friday by scores of 6-1 and 8-1.
Eckerd struck first in the opener with a run in the third. Ella Coiner led off the frame with a double and scored on Lauren Margolis' RBI single. However, ERAU evened the score in the next inning on an RBI single.
The Eagles took the lead in the fifth with five runs. Eckerd looked to rally in the sixth with a lead-off double by Addisan Langston but Eckerd could not push a run across.
The Eagles struck first in game two with a run in the third. They added five runs in the fifth for a 6-0 favor.
The Tritons added a run in the sixth on an RBI double by Langston before Embry-Riddle plated two runs in the bottom of the frame.
