ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd baseball team snapped a seven-game skid with a 6-1 victory over Florida Tech at the Turley Athletic Complex on Tuesday afternoon.
The Tritons opened their final midweek game with a 1-0 favor in the first. An RBI single by Alex Brazer gave Eckerd the early lead. The Panthers equalized in the second off an RBI single to center field.
Eckerd regained its lead in the third with a pair of unearned run, with a run scoring on an error and and RBI single. They added two more in the sixth with back-to-back, bases loaded walks for a 5-1 favor. A single through the left side by Joe Wike in the eighth gave Eckerd an insurance run to close the game 6-1.
