ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd baseball team was shutout 15-0 in a non-conference midweek game against Saint Leo on Tuesday night at the Turley Athletic Complex in seven innings.
Saint Leo took an early 2-0 lead in the first before adding another run in the third to increase its tally to three.
The Lions erupted in the fifth with a five-run inning and did not lose momentum. They added four more runs in the sixth, and three in the seventh to total 15 runs in the game, to retire the game in seven innings by run-rule.
