ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Two milestones were reached in the SSC Quarterfinals as Head Coach Paul Honsinger '98 reached 300 career wins and senior Lauryn Vieira reached 1000 career points at Eckerd. The Triton women's basketball team used an aggressive start to top the No. 5 seeded Rollins, 67-53, at the McArthur Center on Tuesday night.
EC started the game strong with a 15-0 lead through the opening eight minutes before the Tritons took a 17-9 lead at the end of the first. Six straight points early in the second stanza cut RC's deficit to five. The Tritons pushed back out by double digits moments later before taking a 37-26 favor at intermission.
Eckerd stayed in front by double-digits until the midway point of the third, where they held a 42-33 favor. However, back-to-back triples by Vieira gave EC a 15-point lead. The Tritons took a 49-36 lead into the fourth. Eckerd continued to cruise in the fourth for the win.

- Lauryn Vieira topped all scorers with 28 points.
- Vieira padded her stat line with seven assists, seven rebounds, and three steals.
- Chance Bucher added three blocks. She also added 12 points.
- Martyna Kowalska (11 points, 13 rebounds) and Jessie Ford (11 points, 10 rebounds) both recorded double-doubles.
- With her third point in the contest, Lauryn Vieira recorded her 1000th career point at Eckerd. She has 1662 over her career, with 637 at Northwest Kansas Technical College.
- Head coach Paul Honsinger '98 recorded his 300th career win in the victory. He ranks fourth in the SSC in all-time wins.
