MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - The Eckerd baseball team struggled offensively, dropping the series opener at Barry, 4-1, Friday night.
After a pair of scoreless innings, Barry took an early 1-0 lead with a solo homerun in the third inning.
The Bucs took a 3-0 lead in the fourth with a run scoring on an error and an RBI single.
Cam Collier put Eckerd on the board in the eighth with a solo homerun before the Bucs added an insurance run in the bottom of the frame with a sacrifice fly.
