ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team dropped its second straight conference match to No. 4 Saint Leo 6-1 at the Fred Bullard Courts on Wednesday afternoon.
The Tritons (3-2) fell to the Lions (5-2) after dropping the doubles point and five of the six singles matches.
Eckerd dropped all three doubles matches 6-2, with Catherine Rabatin and Nicole Dufour clinching the doubles point for the Lions in the No. 2 position.
Maya Soligo secured the lone point for Eckerd in the No. 6 spot, knocking off Saint Leo's Cheyenne Houkes 6-2, 6-3.
The Lions clinched the match in the top singles position, with Nicole Dufour fending off Kylie Misdorp 6-3, 6-4.
The Tritons return home Thursday morning 10:00 AM to face the Wartburg College Knights (Ohio) at the Fred Bullard Courts.
