BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season to No. 3 Lynn 7-0 at the Perper Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon.
The Tritons (3-1) fell to the Fighting Knights (5-1) after dropping the doubles point and all six singles matches.
Olivia Lindestaf and Maialen Idiakez put up the best fight in doubles play in the No. 3 spot, falling 6-3 to Dolores Molina and Jade Marie.
Lindestaf picked up the lone Triton set win on the day, taking the first set 6-3 before falling 6-4, 6-2 in the No. 3 position.
Idiakez put up five game wins in the No. 6 spot against Zofia Podbiol, but fell 6-3, 6-2.
The Tritons return home Wednesday to face Saint Leo at the Fred Bullard Courts at 3:00 PM.
