ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - After a slow start, the Eckerd women's basketball team used a strong second quarter, including a 22-1 run to cruise past Lynn, 80-58, at the McArthur Center on Saturday afternoon.
Lynn took control of the game early, jumping out to a 21-10 lead in the first five minutes before taking a 29-18 lead at the end of the period. The Tritons countered the Knights' early tempo, holding Lynn to just four points in the second frame. Eckerd went on a 22-1 run over the first eight minutes of the second frame and took a 42-33 favor into the break.
Both offenses slowed in the third frame, but Eckerd maintained a nine to 12-point lead throughout, taking a 56-44 advantage into the final frame. LU went on an early 9-0 run to cut their deficit to six, but EC went on a 15-2 run to take the game 80-58.

- Five Tritons added double-figures: Ieva Korzane (18), Hannah Wentworth (14), Chance Bucher (12), Jessie Ford (12) and Sonja Schuch (10).
- Korzane's 18 points and Schuch's 10 were both career-highs.
- Lauryn Vieira flirted with a triple-double, adding 10 rebounds, seven assists, and seven points.
- Vieira and Korzasne added two steals each.
- EC shot 53.6 percent from the perimeter, with a season-high 15 triples.
