BOCA RATON, Fla. - After dropping the Friday night opener, the Eckerd softball team erupted for 20 runs on the day to take the doubleheader and series from Lynn, 10-2 and 10-1, on the road Saturday afternoon.
After a scoreless opening two innings of the opener, Eckerd plated two runs in the third as two runs scored on an error. Lauren Margolis added a two-run blast in the fourth to give EC a 4-0 lead.
The Tritons added four runs in the sixth on a pair of sacrifice flies by Megan Diaz and Hannah Taylor, while runs scored on an error and wild pitch. EC added its final run on an error in the seventh. Lynn added a run in the sixth and seventh innings.
In game two, Eckerd did all their damage in the second and fifth innings, putting up five runs in each frame. Ella Coiner added a bases-loaded double in the second before Margolis added her second homerun of the day with a two-run shot.
Coiner added her second bases-loaded double in the fifth inning, while Addisan Langston and Megan Diaz added RBI singles. Lynn added a run in the bottom of the frame, but EC won in five innings.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Ella Coiner went 3-for-5 on the day with six RBIs. All her RBIs came in game two. She finished the series 6-for-12 with six runs, six RBIs, and four stolen bases.
- Coiner's six RBIs in the finale are the most in a single game since Kayla Hurley had six against Florida Southern on March 19, 2022.
- Lauren Margolis went 3-for-5 with four RBIs and two homeruns.
- Diaz added two hits in the finale.
- Reese Founds tossed four innings, allowing one run in the finale.
- Olivia Johnson earned the win in the opener, tossing seven innings and allowing one earned run.
