BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Eckerd softball team scored early with four runs over the opening three innings, but Lynn rallied to take the lead in the fourth as the Tritons dropped the series opener, 6-4, on the road Friday afternoon.
Eckerd scored first with a run in the opening frame as Ella Coiner scored on a wild pitch. However, Lynn took the lead in the bottom of the frame scoring on an error and squeeze bunt.
The Tritons plated three runs in the third to take a 4-2 favor. Lauren Margolis drove in the first one with an RBI single before Addisan Langston added a two-run single.
The Knights pulled within one on a sacrifice fly in the third and took a 6-4 lead in the fourth on a two-run double and RBI single.
