ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd softball team dropped the series finale to No. 15 Nova Southeastern, 10-2, at the Turley Athletic Complex on Saturday morning.
The Sharks got on the board in the opening frame with an RBI single, but Addisan Langston equalized in the bottom of the frame with an RBI single.
Nova Southeastern took the lead in the second frame on a pair of runs before padding its lead with solo homeruns in the third and fifth innings. The Sharks added five runs in the final two frames.
Eckerd rallied in the seventh, loading the bases on a pair of singles and a walk. Lauren Margolis plated a run on a sacrifice fly, but Eckerd could not complete the comeback, falling 10-2.
