ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team rallied to win the third set after falling in the first two. However, Florida Southern won the fourth set and the match, 3-1, at Shorecrest Prep on Tuesday night.
After a tight opening set, FSC went on a 6-0 run midway through the frame. The Mocs held an advantage from that point to win the opener. Eckerd and the Mocs swapped points through the entire second set, but FSC won it on three kills after being tied 22-22. The Tritons took the opening edge in the third stanza and won the match on a kill and ace. Eckerd and Florida Southern went back and forth in the fourth and remained tied at 16-16. FSC ended the game on a 9-1 run to take the match.
