DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.- After a three-week hiatus due to the impacts of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the Eckerd men's soccer team returned to action with a road trip at Embry-Riddle, falling 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Eagles wasted little time getting on the board with a goal in the second minute by Fabian Hilpert. They added another pair of first-half goals in the 10th and 18th minutes. Luciano Rodriguez nearly put Eckerd on the board in the 30th minute, but his shot was turned back as EC entered the half down 3-0.Â
The Tritons pressed in the second half, registering 12 shots. Liam Armstrong and Finn Steele posted back-to-back attempts in the 53rd minute, but both were turned back. Armstrong had another attempt turned back in the 63rd minute, but Eckerd could not convert. Â
