Tritons Drop Road Match to Panthers

MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Eckerd men's soccer team fell, 3-1, at Florida Tech thanks to the Panthers' second-half scoring flurry at Rick Stottler Field Saturday night.

Eckerd pressured early with two shots on goal inside the first 15 minutes. However, they were both turned back by the Panthers' keeper. FIT had two late chances on frame, but Aidan Leak turned back both attempts as the teams entered intermission scoreless.

The Panthers attacked early in the second frame with four shots in the first 12 minutes, with Fabio Amaral converting in the 57th minute. Eytor Omarsson made it a 2-0 Florida Tech favor 13 minutes later with a goal. Luciano Rodriguez pulled Eckerd within one in the 73rd minute, converting on a free kick from 25 yards out.
