Eckerd Falls to Rollins is Series Opener

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd softball team dropped an SSC contest to Rollins, 3-0, at the Turley Athletic Complex in the series opener on Thursday. 

Rollins got on the board early with a pair of runs in the second frame on an RBI double and single. They added an insurance run in the sixth on a solo homerun. 

The Tritons threatened in the fourth as Lauren Margolis led off the frame with a walk, and Megan Diaz followed with a single. However, Eckerd was unable to plate a run. Skylar Redish led off the sixth inning with a triple, but the Tritons were unable to push her across.
