SAINT. LEO, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team dropped a road contest, 7-0, on Wednesday afternoon at No. 3 Saint Leo.
The Tritons (2-11) fell to the Lions (17-3) after dropping the doubles point, and all six singles matches.
Ericka Chavarria and Julia Triska won four games in the No. 3 position but were unable to clinch the match, falling 6-4. Kylie Misdorp and Maya Soligo faced the No. 2 nationally ranked doubles pairing of Marta Vicens Miquel and Lavinia Lancellotti, losing 6-0.
Soligo was the lone Triton to take a set in singles play, taking set one 6-2 before falling 6-3, 10-8. Lili Reichert won three games in set one but dropped the No. 5 position, 6-3, 6-0. Misdorp faced No. 4 Miquel in singles competition, falling 6-0, 6-1.
The Tritons return to the Bullard Courts for the final time of the regular season tomorrow at 3:00 PM against Lynn.
