FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team fell 7-0 on Sunday morning in the final match of the season to the No. 2 Nova Southeastern Sharks at the NSU Tennis Center.
The Tritons (2-14) fell to the Sharks (19-2) after dropping the doubles point and all six singles matches.
Alexis Kwasnik and Lili Reichert took two games over the Sharks' second pairing of Diane Follin-Arbelet and Eva Goncharov but ultimately fell 6-2. Kylie Misdorp and Maya Soligo also won a game in the top pairing, falling 6-1 to Fatima Bizhukova and Natalie Espinal.
In singles competition, Reichert performed well, only falling 6-4, 6-3 to Nova Southeastern's Kashmira Manohar in the fifth draw.
Raia Jagger and Soligo each totaled four game wins in their matches in the fourth and sixth spots, respectively. Jagger fell 6-1, 6-3 to Goncharov, while Soligo fell 6-4, 6-0 to Solagnier.
The match marked the ends of the careers of the Tritons three seniors: Kwasnik, Reichert, and Jagger.
