MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - The Tritons rallied for three runs in the fifth inning to tie the game at 3-3 and force extra innings in the series opener Friday night. The Eckerd softball team then added the go-ahead run in the ninth. However, Barry rallied with a run in the ninth and tenth for the walk-off victory as EC fell, 5-4, in 10 innings at Buccaneer Field.
BU took an early jump with a run in the second inning before taking a 3-0 lead in the fourth on a pair of RBI singles.
The Tritons rallied in the fifth with three runs. Skylar Redish broke up Maci Barnhart's no-hit bit with a solo homerun to left center. Brooklyn Cardona followed with a walk, and Hannah Gordon added a hit. Brenna Lokeinsly plated both to tie the game with a triple down the left-field line.
EC added the go-ahead run in the ninth. Kinsley Castro led off the frame with a pinch-hit single, and Lokeinsky brought her in with an RBI double. However, BU added an RBI double to tie the game 4-4.
Barry led off the 10th with a pair of singles, and Becka Mellor followed with a walk-off single.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Redish logged her first homerun of the season and the 14th of her career, ranking sixth in program history.
- Lokeinsky led EC going 2-for-5 with three RBIs.
- Margolis drew a walk in the game, moving her season total to 19, which leads the conference. Entering the night, she ranked second in Division II in walks per game at 1.33.
