WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Triton women's tennis team fell 7-0 to the Sailfish on the road on Monday afternoon.
The Sailfish (5-9; 0-5 SSC) beat the Tritons (2-10; 1-4 SSC) sweeping the doubles point and all six singles draws.Â
Maya Soligo and Kylie Misdorp were in a close match at the top draw, only falling 7-5 to the No. 1 Sailfish pairing of Greta Langiu and Cecillia Peroni.
Misdorp was the only Triton to win a set on the day. She defeated Alina Hoermann 6-4 before falling 6-1, 10-3. Maya Soligo came close to winning a set, as she only fell 6-4 in her second set to Jelsyvette Croes after falling in the first 6-1. Alexis Kwasnik took four games in the No. 3 slot but fell, 6-3, 6-1.Â
The Tritons face two weeks off from competition and remain on the road to face Saint Leo on Wednesday, April 5, at 3:00 PM.
