SAINT LEO, Fla. - The Eckerd men's basketball team dropped its final contest of the season, 87-53, at Saint Leo's Marion Bowman Activities Center Saturday evening.
Saint Leo started the game with 11 straight points before a pair of Carr Thiam free throws got EC on the board. An 8-2 run pulled EC within two at the midway point of the half. However, the Lions closed the half on a 13-2 stretch to take a 39-23 favor at intermission.
The teams traded baskets early in the second half before SLU used a 15-3 run to take a 65-35 advantage. The Lions cruised the rest of the way.
