WINTER PARK, Fla. - Following a back-and-forth contest with a combined 24 ties and lead changes, the Eckerd men's basketball team ultimately fell, 82-76, to Rollins at Warden Arena on Saturday afternoon.
The teams traded baskets early, with Eckerd jumping out to a four-point favor. Rollins added eight straight points to take a four-point advantage with 8:24 left. The teams traded leads over the remainder of the half, with the Tars holding a 39-37 lead at intermission.
An early 7-0 Triton run gave Eckerd a 52-47 lead at the 16:10 mark. Eckerd maintained a slight edge over the next nine minutes. Rollins took a six-point advantage at the 2:35 mark following a 7-0 run. The Tars kept their lead down the stretch to seal the win.
