ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Brenna Lokeinsky accounted for four of the Tritons' five runs, including the go-ahead two-run triple in the sixth, as the Eckerd softball team took the series opener from Lynn, 5-3, on Friday night at the Turley Athletic Complex.
Lokeinsky scored the Tritons' first run in the opening inning. She singled to lead off the inning before moving around on a sacrifice bunt and wild pitch and scored on another wild pitch.
Jenice Casanas plated the second run with an RBI single, driving in Jadyn Wright in the second inning. Lokeinsky scored another run in the third inning on a passed ball.
The Knights added a run in the fourth on an RBI single before tying the game at 3-3 in the sixth on Monique Poit's two-run single.
Eckerd responded in the bottom of the frame with a go-ahead two-run triple by Lokenisky. Avery Beauchaine closed the door in the seventh for the save.
