MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - The Eckerd men's basketball team dropped a road contest, 86-70, at Barry at the Health & Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.
Eckerd jumped out to an early 11-2 lead. Barry later utilized a 10-4 run to pull within two at the 8:10 mark. EC pushed back in front by four a minute later, but the Buccaneers followed with a 17-6 stretch to take a 38-31 favor at intermission.
Barry continued its scoring stretch to open the second half, going on a 20-point run over the first five minutes to take a 58-31 lead. Barry and Eckerd swapped baskets over the next ten minutes, with the Bucs maintaining a sizable lead throughout. Eckerd closed the half on an 11-0 run but ultimately fell.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Carr Thiam led EC with 18 points, while Kent Garard and Daniel Love rounded out the double-figure scorers with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
- Eckerd held a 36-35 favor on the boards. Thiam led Eckerd with seven, while Love and Jordan Kwiecinski added five each.
- Thiam, Garard, and David Swedura added two steals each.
