Lara Sanchez-Rodriguez was honored for her academic merit with a selection to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) annual Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team.
Sanchez-Rodriguez, from Valencia, Spain, boasts a 3.96 GPA in Business Administration. She appeared in 18 games with 14 starts this season, helping guide the team to the SSC Tournament Semifinals for the second time in program history. She helped the team to five shutouts while playing on the back line.
She moves on to the All-American ballot, which will be released next month.
The 2023 Academic All‐District® Women's Soccer Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher in order to qualify for selection. The CSC Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
