WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Eckerd men's soccer team dropped an SSC road contest, 2-0, at No. 13 Rollins Saturday evening.
The Tars wasted little time getting on the board as Rory Doyle scored in the fourth minute. Blaine Sutton gave Eckerd a solid chance for the equalizer five minutes later, but his shot was turned back. Frederik Heise added another scoring chance at the end of the half, but his attempt was saved by Tars' keeper as Eckerd trailed 1-0 at the half.Â
EC had back-to-back shots in the 61st minute, but both attempts were off-target. The Tars made it a 2-0 game in the 70th minute as Nazar Tsaruk found the back of the net. Eckerd was unable to place a shot the remainder of the game, falling 2-0.Â
