MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - The Eckerd men's soccer team dropped its final road contest of the season on Wednesday, falling at Barry 5-0.
Barry wasted little time getting on the board as David Polanco converted on a penalty kick in the 16th minute, and BU made it a 2-0 game five minutes later. Liam Armstrong tried to counter for Eckerd in the 23rd minute, but his attempt was turned back. The Buccaneers added a third goal in the 36th minute for a 3-0 lead at intermission.
Tommy Shepherd gave Eckerd a quality look in the 57th minute, but his low shot was turned aside. Barry padded to its lead with goals in the 63rd and 80th minutes. Eckerd could not place another shot, falling 5-0.
