Tritons, Chargers Play to 1-1 Draw

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Tritons wasted little time getting on the board as Tommy Lamb scored on a penalty kick just 15 seconds into the game. However, the Chargers equalized in the 77th minute as the Eckerd men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with Alabama in Huntsville. Sunday afternoon's tie at Johnson Field is EC's third straight to start the season.

Eckerd began aggressively with five shots inside the opening 10 minutes, with Lamb converting inside the first minute. The Chargers had two quality looks on goal in the 64th and 70th minutes but were turned back by Lynden Dawson before UAH scored on a counterattack goal in the 77th minute.

EC threatened in the final minute, drawing a foul just outside of the 18, but the Tritons were unable to generate a quality shot on frame.
